It's Black Friday again this Friday.

An excuse for yet more fcukin spam mails with “irresistible offers” I don’t give a fcuk about.

Fcuk off Black Friday and every other poxy Friday. And every other fcukin day of the week now you mention it.

Originally, but now the stores are chucking their new products in as they need to hit targets set from previous years. We just bought a brand new nespresso machine and 130 coffee pods for 59 quid this evening. They are literally cannibalising themselves because of jumping on to this. They’ve also gotten greedy and ruined it for themselves.

It was Black Friday.

A year later it was black week.

Now, black month in some fecking stores.

Next month they’ll wonder where the Christmas trade is.

Some places have been doing “Black Friday” since the start of November. Pretty sad really.

In my business we hold off until, you know, actual Black Friday, run a four day deal ending on Cyber Monday, and then back to normal until Boxing Day when we clear old stocks in a sale on old lines only.

Speaking to others, they’ve prolonged their Black Friday deals this year due to payday falling the week after. They expect BF to be a bit more subdued this year, so have run longer sales to compensate and ensure targets are hit.

Of course most places start their Boxing Day sales a week before Christmas Day nowadays. Lots of companies are making a rod for their own back in an attempt to chase sales, many of which probably aren’t even profitable for them anyway.
