Agree with that don't like Zinny at LB I worry with his lack of pace but he looks at home when he cuts into to the middle think it would be interesting to see him in the holding position.

As the title suggests...... does anyone have any firm views on who, if anyone, we could or should cash in on to release some cash that we could reinvest on say Haarland?

There are two prime candidates for me

1) Sterling. He's almost back on top of his game and I reckon we could get top dollar for him right now.

2) Jesus. Given the form of the other players around him I feel he is the one who would be missed least, especially if we bring in Haarland (even if we don't get him in January).

One thing is for certain, if we are going to bring someone in, someone will have to make way... I know Torres has gone or is on his way, but I never really considered him a regular.

I think you are mad, Sterling and Jesus are two of our best players, we already cashed in on Torres, and have one of the smallest first team squads. We don’t need to cash in on anybody apart from unconvincing academy players ans some on loan who have never made the first team squad.

We could cash in on a couple of youngsters but why? We have done well with net spend despite the Grealish outlay, largely thanks to offloading Torres and other youngsters during lockdown. I suspect City are looking to tie up a deal in January for a striker to arrive in the summer if they can get good value, and enough left over to buy another defensive midfielder and left back. They might have to let Zinchenko or maybe Ake go to finance the latter, which would be a shame, because after dodgy and unlucky starts to their City careers, they have both come good. Personally I think Between those two and Cancelo’s ability to switch from right to left, we would struggle to find anybody significantly better, so concentrate on a striker and defensive midfielder for Rodri cover.
