Hopefully Shakira moves to Manchester. That would mean my dream of marrying her would become closerPlain Speaking said:Trying to convince a wag to come...tolmie's hairdoo said:Behind every great man...charm in full swing

Rammyblues said:Nailing my colours to the mast I reckon we are only signing two players and my gut instinct says RVP and Martinez/De Rossi. I also reckon the Dzeko will leave and maybe Kolo. If Kolo goes we will be able to sign a third player. We need a third keeper as well but that will be in addition to the above.
This is how I see things developing.
RVP met with Arsene Wenger yesterday if media to be believed, I suspect as far as City are concerned the deal has been agreed with agents and he is positive about us. Only problem is his wife who prefers to stay in London where his kids are settled. The charm offensive is under way. I also believe a tentative agreement in place with Arsenal over the fee that we will pay.
If RVP says yes it will mean that Dzeko or Tevez have to leave. Marwood has been in Italy and I suspect this is to pave the way for either of them to join up with an Italian club, favorites maybe Juventus who were one time admirers of Dzeko or AC who could take Tevez.
We can still accomodate in the 25 man squad one further signing without anyone having to leave in my opinion this is either Martinez or De Rossi. I suspect club are waiting on Barca to see if they go for Martinez this may take a couple of weeks and it may be Marwood has been to Spain to see whether they are interested in the player or not. Long time ago we were supposed to be making sure we didn't compete for same players. Could be Barca haven't finalised who they are after. If they do go for Martinez we will then go for De Rossi who seems to have had second thoughts about the prem league and we know Mancini is a keen admirer.
De Rossi and RVP are proven international players.
Either De Rossi or Martinez would provide that extra cover for our defence.
If Kolo decides to go and the latest reports from Kolo is he wants to stay I suspect that will be the end of our business for the summer save for maybe buying some players for EDS. If he goes we will need another accomplished defender and it may be that again the flights to Italy and AC may involve someone like Thiago Silva coming to City but for big bucks.
TH said a long time ago we had around 62m nett to spend on players. If we have to pay for the release clause on Martinez and say 20 odd million for RVP the remainding money being used for some South American kids for EDS eg Dybala.
If we don't get Martinez but can get De Rossi for say 20m it may mean a bumper 30+ bid for Thiago Silva.
The above could be a complete load of bollocks and completely off the mark (I usually am with these sort of things)

I still think Lucas could be too pricey for them, even Chelsea raised their eyebrows and backed off signing him because of his price tag. Brazilian clubs get top dollar for their best players these days.
I heard a rumour Fergie had "fallen out" with Young at the end of last season. His poor Euro performances wont have helped either!r.soleofsalford said:LoveCity said:Nani will probably leave, if he doesn't and they signed Lucas they'd have 4 top wingers (Valencia, Lucas, Nani, Young) which isn't something I remember United ever having.

Possibly Silva with the Italian link and maybe with Mancini just signing his new contract he's getting his wish.
RVP and Martinez don't really fit that bill
