People keep saying that Tevez and Aguero are a perfect partnership and that they compliment each other so well but I haven't really seen anything to make me believe that.

Yes they linked up relatively well against an incredibly poor Norwich defense but that's about it. In our pre-season games they've actually looked pretty pissed off with each other at times because neither is seeing the runs the other is making and they're both taking too long on the ball.

It is widely known in Argentina that they don't play well together for the national team so why would it work so well for us?

How many top striker partnerships are there in the world where both players are small and can't win the ball from goal kicks?

In a 3-5-2/3-4-1-2 we're going to be getting a lot of crosses in, are they both gonna out-jump 6ft+ centre-backs to head the ball into the back of the net?

I think people need to think for themselves and not just say "They play very well together" just because some commentator says it.

THIS

With Tevez and Aguero in the team we are too one dimensional, every ball needs to be played short into their feet. It restricts space and the centre of the pitch/edge of the box becomes over crowded and it slows our play down to walking pace. We'll still score goals because of the individual brillance but as a team I personally think Tevez being partnered with Aguero negatively affects us. People can say what they like about the last 7 games of the season, we won 11 out of the first 12 games with an average of over 3 goals per game using the Tevez/Aguero partnership just once.

How they fare for Argentina is almost irrelevant. 2 different squads with 2(+) different managers and approaches.
It's a team game, not a partnership. When attacking you need to look at how 4,5,6+ players compliment each other, not just 2. Look at Barca Messi vs Argie Messi.

David Chase has given a few in depth interviews explaining.

The guy in the members only jacket kills him.

It cuts to black as Tony is the main focus of the show and it ends as his life ends.

You don't see or hear the shot as they make a point of saying "you probably don't even hear it" when talking about Bobby getting whacked earlier on
Absolute tosh the ending is meant to tease and he stated many times it's about interpretation.

Correct.

It's meant to mean that Tony will forever be looking over his shoulder for that fateful day when he is whacked.

Which will inevitably come. Even if it is not that day.

Long but pretty much nails it

I thought Chase had denied this interpretation?

Well its a case of a great ending...

no one knows the right answer even if they claim to... the writter said he was killed, then said he wasnt, then said he never wrote it to mean either...

People have written full university works on it, i did a little bit on it in a paper for uni a few years ago...

So whoever said it's "tosh" you are wrong.

For what it's worth, the whole final episode, the way it switched from normal to POV.. and links to his past killings being referenced... the ending is left to each viewer to find themselves...

Very clever ending by a clever man

I think everyone is missing the point re the Sopranos. This was the final episode of a long running saga and City may now also be at the end of a long running saga trying to sign someone. Could be RVP or DDR?

Or, of course, I could be completely wrong!

I don't think anyone disagrees; we need cover for Yaya and Vinnie Kompany.
I for one think we on BM may be aiming too high for their replacements. Agger, 20-30 games a season for 20+ mil? Not for me.
In midfield, you simply can't replace Yaya, and if you get someone similar, where and when do they play?
If Kolo stays, he is very good cover. Some may disagree with this, but FFS who are you going to get to come and sit on the bench 4 games out of 5? Either a 'past it' or a 'young 'un'. Kolo is still pretty dam good for a 'past it'; Boyata and Rekik fit the bill for 'young 'uns'.
If things get really desperate, you have to start compromising; use Micah if needed or even Barry or De Jong. This happens at ALL clubs. Look who had to play for Barca in this position the last few seasons.....Yaya and Mascherano!
In midfield, we have Barry, De Jong, Nige and Milner. Again, if you buy someone better to rotate, one or more of these guys could get their noses out of joint.

DDR would be fantastic, but that's all we need. If no DDR, Nir Biton, realistically being as close as we are going to get to Yaya, could be a godsend if we can get him a work permit. We don't need RVP to screw up a much improved morale.

Otherwise, I think we are OK and will be even better than last season.

Made up shite, until very recently chase has never confirmed or denied the ending. Until negotiations fell through to make a follow up film in which Tony would of course starred.
Chase has of course answered many questions on the ending and has always answered that the ending is there for all to see. That is until the film deal fell through and he confirmed his disgust and dismay at the amount of fans who wished and wanted Tony dead in that final scene. The fact that most fans did not get his interpretation concerned him and the film script was written to further enhance Tonys bad reputation, which was the complete opposite of HBOs request to clean up the image and tone down the violence.

That was my interpretation, the final scene. Hopefully things are coming to a conclusion.

I'd like Martinez. Barry is 31 and will need replacing in the medium term, NDJ's contract situation still unresolved and possibly losing Yaya to the ACN we could do with another quality midfielder.

Not Silva extending his contract after Bob & Vinnie?

He said Mancini always gets his men, so dont think that could cover Mancini himself signing a deal.
