Being ad Modric to Real is a no go I'd have him here in a CM slot to be fair. Ade + cash, defo would like that. 20 + Ade, I would take that.

RVP to United is a move I really can't see. They still need Baines and are still lacking a CDM since Hargreaves left and Fletcher injured. RVP to them doesn't make sense, they didn't need goals. What they need is a LB and CM/CDM. If they got RVP I wouldn't be that worried. Chelsea under Guardiola is a threat.

I'd laugh if we slapped in a bid for Rooney as soon as they sign van Persie, their arses would capitulate.

I'd be truly amazed if Van Persie ends up at the swamp. United won't pay top dollar for a 29 year old with no resale value and injury prone on their limited funds. That would be the biggest departure in their transfer policy I can remember.

It's Juve or humble pie at Wengers pad for Van Persie.
Didn't a 30 year old Berbatov cost them £32?

No, but he should've.

I can see them signing rvp and Modric. What's another £30m on top of that debt?

This summer is proving to be very strange with regards our activity.

I'm trying desperately to hold out hope that it is all a cunning plan and that we will explode into life over the next few weeks, however it's proving difficult when other teams are making decent signings.

All we've managed to achieve with outgoings is Bridge on loan and Weiss for peanuts but if the "powers that be" expected anything other than this then they need their heads testing, clubs will always leave it until late in the window to come for our players as they prefer them on loan as it's cheaper.

The Italians are a cracking example, we know they are all relatively skint but AC have brought some decent dough in and Juve are as usual giving it large, yet neither side has spunked on the decent forward they need - I'm sure we will have expected one of them to offer decent cash for Dzeko, for example, yet nothing has materialised as yet.

All that said, it could quite easily go our way if we landed De Rossi and Agger as that in itself would be a great window.

As a side note, on the subject of Scott Sinclair, I think it's worth remembering that we were looking to buy that Cerci fella for about 6mil previously and surely buying Sinclair for relatively cheap dough would be a worthwhile acquisition as Bob obviously doesn't expect to start with wingers. So no point spending big cash on a player who is likely to sit on the bench more often than not.
