Here's a juicy one, the Star claims we turned down £40million from PSG for Mario earlier this summer after Mancini threatened to leave if he was sold.

very star-esque, could be some truth to it though.

btw, how do you get all your news snippets so quickly? whenever there is any new news on the forum i always check the poster and 99% of the time its you! and on twitter i love seeing the dark blue picture with the bright blue circle popping up on the feed cos it usually means some interesting news! seriously keep up the work!

you can use Google to send you emails of the latest news related to the club once it's published. or any player.

No idea how I just noticed that you're City Watch on twitter. Love the feed mate thanks for doin it.

marwood strikes me as a blazer boy, all about rules and procedures therefore its his character to be an absolute stickler about ffpr

cook was more of a maverick, an attitude to take a punt and see how the cards fall

in the long run i don't know which is best for the club, but as a fan, i know which approach i prefer

One must infer from this that Mancini rates Mario above RVP

Mancini did say the club turned down a bid from a french club for Mario earlier so it certainly fits.. would be stupid of us to sell though even if it meant a good size profit

Think we all need to chill a little (as at the same point in the window last year)
Have just got back from a week long business trip to Manchester, which gave me an unusual amount of time to loiter around the club and talk to as many people as would still entertain me. i have to say that Mancini gave me the impression of being much more relaxed about things than came over in his interview that the press are now making much of. Lots of people also seem to be busily working behing the scenes, Marwood was away most of the week in London mainly, but with the 'lypis on down there I guess that was the place to be entertaining people. Also noticed that the backroom staff that would be involved in any dealings were making concerted efforts to be anywhere that the press were not. Got the distinct feeling towards the back end of the week that things were coming to a conclusion and by the increase in the usual press pack I think they get the feeling too.
Personally I don't think we need much in the way of additions but would not put any money against a mega eve of season signing.

Also a little bit of RAG news for those of you that can be arsed.
Their (delayed) stock market floatation has gone very badly on day 1. Not only have they had to begin trading stocks at 75% of their original target, their first day of trading looks to have fallen 87% below their estimates with only 13% of the stocks sold.
Also have had confirmation that they have not yet placed any official offer for RVP.
