I may be clutching at Straws here but Tolmie said we made a serious enquiry about young Thiago. He isn't on the pitch or the bench tonight in the Classico.

Neither is Kaka for that matter.

Thiago hasn't fully recovered from his injury yet that kept him out of the Olympics, Back soon though.

Didn't know he was injured. I did say I was clutching at straws !!

Home grown Country:- Barry, Lescott, Milner, Clichy, AJ
Kompany, Yaya, Balotelli, Savic, Toure, Kolarov, Zab, Tevez, Aguero, Dzeko, Nasri, Silva, Dejong, Pantilimon. Thats 23 pretty sure rodwell, razak, guidetti, suarez and rekik dont have to be registered because of their age. That leaves two spaces even if we keep toure, dejong, aj and savic, Plus we have meet the requirement of 4 players trained at the club, 8 players trained in the club and 3 goalkeepers. So people we have room for players coming in!

Hart is not home grown club unfortunately, Rodwell although under 21 hasn't been at the club under 21 for two years so he counts as well, guidetti Suarez and rekik don't count. So the two spaces you reckon you have are now taken up by Rodwell and Hart. So you are back to selling before buying. (Nice try though)

The weakest player has to be Savic and the weakest area of our squad is defence. Surely something has to give. If kolo won't go then the only option would be to sell/loan Savic and buy a CB

We have to have 3 keepers it is a requirement of the regulations. No we don't have to put him in but if we put Nielsen in as third keeper he is a foreign player which means we have to sell a player or someone in our squad already has to miss out on CL football, by including him it frees up another space. I didn't realise this but got told on here that Nielsen is injured and on a one month rolling contract till he recovers (apparantly ACL).

Mario didn't need a place in the PL squad last season as all U-21s didn't need to be registered but for Europe he had to be named in the A-list

To be deemed club trained they have to have spent three years at the club before 21. Balotelli was on the A list last year so was Savic.

Why are we keeping Nielsen if we have Johansen... Surely it's just more wages which could be used towards a player we actually need.
