the only thing that might make sense is that we are negotiating something big - all eggs in one basket so to speak

if it doesnt come off there might be a flurry of activity for other players we've probably been talking to in the background

if this is the reason the answer has to come tomorrow i'd think to leave us enough time

This is my take on the current situation as well.

LOL. Kaka is coming!!

Being link with javia garcia wich we know about but the interesting one is garay the real madrid centre back according to portuguese press.

Not Real... Benfica.
From Wiki:

On 5 July 2011, Garay transferred to S.L. Benfica in Portugal, for a fee of €5.5 million for his services, and he signed a four-year contract - initially a part of the deal that sent Fábio Coentrão in the opposite direction, he eventually signed a separate deal. Real Madrid also remained eligible for 50% of any transfer fee Benfica received in the future, and the latter also sold part of his rights to Benfica Stars Fund for €1.175 million, making the club owner of 40%.

Ive been away on holiday the past fortnight any news? Has tolmie posted anyfing recently?

No news at all really (since signing Rodwell) but for continued talks for Sinclair.

Lots of speculation but nothing else that amounts to much.

Tolmie hasn't posted anything (apart from one "accidental" post last week)

Hope you had a good hol.

Media seems to think Marwood is a top man as he is bringing city in line financially. The irony is getting inline with FFP will ensure European football. The way things are going who's to guarantee we will even finish top 4!

Apologies if I'm wrong about FFP folks, not really fluent in platinis bullsh*t

I hope the Medical Team have had all annual leave requests cancelled for Friday. They might be working their rocks off at the Bridgewater this Friday assuming of course that Mr Marwood is capable of signing players before the end of the window.

It's going to be interesting on Friday, either it stays as it is, or we have a lot of last moment deals
As the window goes on the 'targets' get progressively shitter. From Hazard - Walcott - Remy and with us missing out on De Rossi then Martinez a panic bid for Huddlestone wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Well I`m still waiting for this big transfer :
EDIT: Feel free to bookmark this and pull me up on it if wrong, but heard this afternoon that we're in for him (no-one from the club or anything, but a guy who keeps his ear to the ground).

Newcastle apparenty want £24m.

City, United and one other club showing serious interest but not willing to match the fee, though might bite at anything under £20m.

So your saying that the team that won the league last season may struggle to get top 4? The mind boggles it really does

Have a feeling we won't get anyone now, three days left, normally at least 1 decent rumour around, but nothing at all.

Sadly this.

(Really hope I'm wrong though - if we could only get 1 de Rossi please!)

Qpr on Saturday will show,if we are the city of last season or the new city coming from behind in every game. Trying to stay optimistic but fine we stay top 4, then what we dominate champs league... Chelsea style and fluke it... Doubt it. City want to increase revenue massively and apart from creating a top notch academy like the likes,of Madrid and Barca they also have star player and star signings every year.... We're not going in that direction.

God I hope on Friday (will be sooooo pleased) I'm wrong and we sign just 1 boss player
