Great to have you back fella :-)

If we sell Tevez, we don't even have to replace him with a striker.

I could see us going from a versatile, mobile forward like Hazard that can:

1. pick out a pass and combine well.
2. thrive in our fluid system...swapping positions but competent in all of them.
3. score.

And honestly, Tevez isn't even a "real" striker.

Ok, assuming Hazard comes in, and we go after a out & out striker too, who would you have if not Cavani?

Higuain/Llorente/RVP?

If Tevez goes, I'd be thrilled if we got Lavezzi and Higuain. Add to that Hazard and Martinez and I'd be at least satisfied. :)

Holy shit that would take some gelling.

That's like completely revamping our attack. Which one do you leave on the bench?

Will you be tweeting over this window Tolm? No double entendre intended; honest!

-- Fri Apr 20, 2012 3:52 pm --

I hear Slur Baconface is in for a new zimmer and a motability cart.

I think gelling would not be so much of a problem, considering Higuain, Lavezzi and Aguero are already close mates. Add Silva to the mix, who obviously already speaks Spanish and already seems to have a great relationship with Kun, and I think they'll do fine.
As for Hazard, well I'm sure he'll have no problem adapting to and playing with such team-mates. I don't know what languages he speaks besides French.
Behind them we have Yaya, who speaks both Spanish and French, and Martinez another Spaniard.

Back five +
-----------Yaya----------Matinez-----------

Hazard-----------Silva--------------Lavezzi
-------------------Aguero----------------------

Not looking to shabby, no? :)

Obviously Mancini is a great believer in squad rotation, so getting games will not really be a problem for the likes of Nasri and Barry. I'd be worried if I were Dzeko though. ;) I have a feeling he will be looking for an exit this summer and as for Balotelli... well I just don't know what to think about him. Based on his time here with us so far I'd gladly see him go, but maybe a summer with the squad will benefit him.

Gelling will have to occur whether they are friends or not... Also, speaking the same language doesn't make a team just gel..why do you think the quality of international football is so shit despite everyone being able to communicate well?

And honestly, Higuain? Right...he'll come from Madrid's bench to City's bench in rainy Manchester.

One of the best bits of Bluemoon this :) Glad it's back!

Bloody tricky thinking up players to come in though without completely messing with any chemistry we've managed to build this season. It's become clear that we need an experienced head up top. So if Tevez goes we at very least need a replacement for him. I don't think the whole fluid front 4 will always work, sometimes you just need something a bit more direct. Despite changing my mind every 5 minutes, I think RVP for Tevez would be about as perfect as we could hope for. Keeping him would be best though.

Really hope we're still in for De Rossi if Roma don't make CL.

Hazard is a no brainer.

Martinez would be lovely but I don't think it's on the cards. Plus what would we do with him? Centre back? Would that not be a bit of a waste? Vertonghen seems the popular choice for CB, I don't really know enough about him either way so I'll bow to others greater experience.

Another pacey player in the event of Hazard being kicked off the park? Another left back and move Kolarov out?

That still sounds like an awful lot of players to me!

Yeah I know... it would take time to gel even so, but I think their mentality and football philosophy, combined with the shared language would make it a bit easier for them to develop a mutual understanding of one another.

I don't think for a second we are actually interested in all those players, but I have a feeling Mancini really wants Lavezzi and Hazard. If both Dzeko and Balotelli stays, I don't think we need another high-profile striker.
