If Robben/Ribery are back up plans I hope we get our main target. They will match Ashley Young for theatrics. Unless we are taking the "If you cant beat them, join them" approach.

Also on Robben he will break in the first match.
 
Robben is the backup plan to Hazard, because what he doesn't have on his side in age, he makes up for with experience at the very highest level and has played in the Prem before. Something we have no idea how Hazard will handle on either count. Robben is a very known quantity. He's also a pretty well known sicknote, so I'm pretty conflicted on that one.
 
Bayern have signed shaquiri (excuse the spelling) so I'm assuming he will take either ribery or robbens place in the team. I'd guess we're after robben due to him being in the final year of his contract soon, a year younger and with prem experience.
 
I would rule Ribery right out of the equation so ROBBEN must be the back up. Good player but the injury record would be a worry.
 
I wonder if we were to fail in our pursuit of hazard, how robben would feel at being classed as a second option?

When fit I rate him as one of the best wingers on the planet
