Yes. Hazard is extremely versatile and I think he would be a fantastic replacement for Tevez.

He can play on the wing or in the hole...I think that is even limiting him. He is the kind of player that can play any attacking position because of his versatility.

I've said it before, he reminds me of Kaka in his prime somewhat because of his explosive, energetic style. Hazard's passing/vission/through-balls are very accurate, and last time I checked he was in the top 5 in Europe. I'll need to find the stat though.

And if we need to play him on the wing, he can do things like this (at 18 years old):

I think he has extremely high potential as a #10 or on the wing. Up until this year, he always played on the wing. I was speaking with some Lille fans on a french forum, and most thought he could be an excellent number 10 early in his career but weren't sure if he was mature enough to have so much responsibility on the pitch. This year, however, Lille have lost all their creative players, so he had to play as a playmaker and Hazard has made that position his own.

If Mancini buys him, I think he could be very successful in our fluid system, and give us the directness we sometimes lack. Also, we could rest Silva more often and avoid the burnout that has happened this year.

Like a Luis Suarez, Hazard can create something out of nothing with an incredible dribble, but also play the perfect pass. This, along with his intelligence and decision making impress me the most about him. And when we need him on the wing, he can play there with ease.

I'm excited about this guy. A lot.

Good assessment Jumanji, especially the bit about his explosive power and turn of pace to take on defenders with good close ball control, ala Kaka in his pomp or Ronaldo of late.

Those that don't think he's ready need to give their heads a wobble, he'll excel in the team with our players around him.

Do you think he will be in our team come next season?

I'm quietly confident but the Sanchez saga last summer should be a lesson to us all that nothings a gimme at the moment.

A little dickie bird tells me Clint Dempsey has been advised to change his name by deed poll to Juan Hohenzollern, and tell people he was born in the Azores of a Portuguese mother, and father from lower Saxony.

Someone mentioned him in the Guidetti thread, has like 20 assists or something. Seems to play in AJ's spot but is rapid. Only 6m euro.

That was me. Your applause is far too kind.

He looks good but there are like 50 billion wingers out there who always look good on highlights, who do we pick out of them all? I mean you could go and load videos on Hoilett, Lennon, Valencia, Farfan, and so on and they all look amazing. I imagine scouts look at the things they do off the ball like pressing and tracking back, is he good at that?

Malki is no good. Bas Dost scores most of his goals from headers and tap-ins. The man to thank for that is Luciano Narsingh. He has 21 assists this season and 7 assists. De Jong is a very good players and he, Dost and Guidetti are the best 3 strikers in their league.

How is this Narsingh? Any good?

He is a very good player but it seems Ajax will get him. He's quick, has a strong cross on him and gets around 10 goals a season.

Heres an article about him

The 21-year-old winger has been heavily linked with a move to Eredivisie champions Ajax Amsterdam this summer but the club technical director Johan Hansma insists that his side does not intend to lose the youngster.

Heerenveen have performed brilliantly thus far this season. Occupying the sixth spot on the Eredivisie table, they are only a single point behind second placed AZ Alkmaar.

The Friesland outfit’s impressive performances this term owe a lot to their strong front-line and especially to their young winger, Luciano Narsingh.

The Dutch footballer of Indian-Surinamese descent has played an integral role in his side’s consistent showings. The youngster has netted six goals in 30 appearances, but his 18 valuable assists forged him into one of the most threatening wingers in the Dutch top flight.

He troubled almost every opposition with his impressive dribbling and pin-point crosses into the penalty area and remained a constant menace at the right flank.

The 21-year-old’s scintillating shows attracted interest from Ajax Amsterdam, who are keen to add the young winger to their squad in the upcoming summer transfer market.

However, the Heerenveen technical director, Johan Hansma, has insisted that his side does not intend to lose the youngster and are keen to prolong his stay at Abe Lenstra Stadion.

“We want to extend his ongoing contract. But frankly, I think chances are relatively small. If he does not put pen to a new contract, then we will certainly part ways with him in order to avoid a free transfer next summer”, Hansma was quoted as saying to De Telegraaf.

The technical director went on to admit that the Amsterdam giants did make a lucrative offer in January transfer window, but they refused to sell their prized asset then.

“Ajax tabled a good bid, but we refused. I know they are still interested in signing him, and Luciano himself wants to play at Amsterdam Arena. His agent (Mino Raiola) has contacted us to see whether any other clubs are interested in signing Luciano. We will see what comes after the end of the season”, Hansma concluded.

Narsingh’s contract at Abe Lenstra Stadion runs until the summer of 2013

What I hope Hazard can offer, is directness, speed, a let's-go-at-it attitude. Will he give us that?

Matt that's spot on and exactly what he'll give us..........

Great!
So... what we know for a fact is, that Hazard will leave France, but to whom is still just speculation. Plausible candidates for his signature would be just a handful of teams; Real Madrid, Manure, Chelsea, Arsenal and us. I don't think Tottenham is an alternative.
But I doubt Arsene will change his transfer policy thus making Hazard too expensive of a signing.
And Chelsea will probably buy Modric.

I think it's between us and Real Madrid.

I think he's already said he would be playing in the Premier league next season..so thats us, Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs (only because he has mentioned them and that he would not consider them if they didn't qualify for the Champions League)
I feel Chelsea's chances will get a huge boost if they win the Champions League, so we should win the league to match them :)
