Don't you think there would be evidence of him being at the game if he was there? I just think The Mirror copied and pasted the Twitter rumours in the hope that they might have been true. Don't think he'd just show up in Manchester on a Monday night when he's still fighting for things with Lille. He was not at the game.

If you are referring to the Coup de grace part, its dealing a death blow to an already wounded person or animal, kind of like mercy killing a horse when its severely wounded from a fall..
In that sense, right now its United and not City that is severely wounded after the derby defeat..so it looks like this - in our search for gold (trophies) we have dealt a death blow to a severely wounded Utd, probably by finalizing a deal with Hazard, the French player..hence the use of the French words..

The only other thing I can make out from the video by itself would be the name Esteban and in a Spanish context, and I have not heard of any rumors about us going for Esteban Granero or the need for it (obviously it won't be Cambiasso). The present rumors are only Liverpool wanting him..
