Right. Must be true thenI have been reading every post in these threads for donkeys years so i know
all hail the sorcerer of Bluemoon!Since we have no real news on who our main striker will be next season, we might as well speculate a bit.
So what's everybody's guess on what will happen on the striker situation then?
If I would guess, I would say the following:
Alvarez deal gets done, we loan him out to River until the summer. We could extend the loan and allow him to stay until after WC, unless we fail to sign another striker, or any of the first team regulars playing in the same positions (Sterling, Mahrez) leaves.
If I would guess, our priority list as the teams striker next season is the following:
1 - Håland
2 - Kane
3 - Vlahovic
4 - Felix
5 - Alvarez
Even though I think we are the best option for Håland, there is a lot of noise from Madrid, and if history has shown us anything regarding football transfers, it is that if Real Madrid really wants someone, they usually get him. They already have an attacker as good (or better) than him in Benzema, and will also have Vinicius & Mbappe on the wings, but Real & Perez usually dont let stupid reasons like what the team needs or what players they already have come in the way of signing a galactico. Maybe its the City pessimist in me talking, but right now I fear we will miss out on this one. Him having Raiola as his agent doesnt exactly fill me with confidence he will go to the best football option, instead he will go were he can grow his brand as big as possible. Again, I have no idea how Håland actually thinks, this is just speculation. Hopefully I am wrong, but that would be my guess as of today.
We will then probably turn to Kane again, to see if there is any chance of striking a deal this summer. My guess would be that Levy will be more open to sell this summer, but will slap a 120M price tag on him. If he would be willing to go down to around 90M, we will probably sign him. But considering it seems like he is finding form again now, I doubt he will go down from that asking price. With other words, no deal after a few weeks of trying.
Halfway through August, if Vlahovic is still available we would strike a deal and sign him. Thats assuming his still at Fiorentina then. Huge risk he has gone somewhere else though, with him not wanting to leave his future hanging until the last week of the transfer window. My guess would be that when Håland signs for Real, and he still doesnt hear anything from us, he goes ahead and secures a deal with the best offer being available at the time, perhaps from a team like Atletico Madrid or PSG.
Last week in August and still no striker signed, Mendes will come to the rescue offering us Felix who wants to leave and Atletico would be happy to sell. After a months/years of searching for a new striker, a deal will be struck within just a few days for 60M+ variables. It will be said he was the one we wanted all along.
Other predictions:
Sterling will stay and play the last year of his contract. Whether he extends or not will be decided at the end of the season.
Some kind of deal will be made with Silva moving to Barca and Frenkie de Jong joining us.
No replacement for Fernandinho will be signed with FDJ who is taking Silvas role also being able to cover Rodris position. McAtee/Lavia replacing Ferns minutes in the first team squad.
No LB/RB will be signed with us giving Yan Couto a place in the first team after his impressive loan spell at Braga.
Alvarez joins in January after a pretty anonymous WC with 2-3 sub appearances.
Season ends with us winning everything.
No 1 , 3 and 5 for me...stay well away from Kane and Felix.....Since we have no real news on who our main striker will be next season, we might as well speculate a bit.

Yeah like I said, this is not a personal wishlist, this is what I predict will happen:) If Vlahovic was number one in the clubs eyes, he would already be here though:)Might be controversial but Vlahovic should be number one.
I’m not sure he’s in the top 3 anymoreMight be controversial but Vlahovic should be number one.
60 mil is too too much for him. Can't be worth more than £60m. Atletico lost their minds.
