Liverpool look into surprise rival raid for Man City keeper Gavin Bazunu

Liverpool are looking into a potential transfer for Manchester City and Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu, according to reports.

Would be very surprising as they have the #2 Ireland goalkeeper there already in Kelleher, who many think should be starting for Ireland if Bazunu was not playing so well. Not believing that.

In a 2 CB system, it's difficult to keep the 4th choice happy.

It really isn't that suicidal, CBs hardly need rest, a 4th choice academy prospect is pretty normal procedure.

Not sure if Pep would, but Jurgen Klopp would certainly not agree, given what happened to them last year. Having said that, would love to see the Academy lads incentivised

Last season, Klopp himself said a team only needs 3 first team/senior CBs, when asked why he didn't sign a CB in the summer, given Van Dijk's injury.
