Do you think any of the three are good enough to replace a senior first choice international player with plenty of premier league experience, that performs well in big games when needed? We are talking playing almost half our games over the season.

He is not 4th choice btw. He is one of 4 players for 2 positions.

Sooner or later they need a chance to step up or what's the point of the academy.

They've (H-B and Doyle) been on loan at lower league teams so the club should know if they're ready to be part of the squad. They'd be training everyday with the best team in England, so hopefully they would be ready if needed.

You say Ake isn't 4th choice, but bar injuries he is.
He was a regular at Bournemouth and you'd think with the World Cup coming up that he'd want to be playing every week again. But with us if everyone was fit, Ake would not start ahead of Dias, Stones or Laporte, in the majority of games, especially in the league and champions league.
