Don't think we'll let Bernie go this summer and don't think we'll sign a 5th CB, but arguably the best way to deal with Bernie's absence and Haaland's presence would be to switch to 3-5-2 (or 3-3-3-1).

Virtually nobody in the world could replace Bernie in 4-3-3 right now. In 1-2 years Foden may be able to do it, maybe at a better level than Bernie, but not now.

The Torres link makes no sense now Ake is staying. Torres isn’t even that good, I’ve never been impressed with him. To spend more than about £20-25m would be daft.

Have much sympathy with that view but I reckon I've got a couple more 11/12 or 21/22 type seasons in me (as long as they were interleaved with a couple of Centurion ones !)

I don't mind just so long as they go in our favour and not against.
Quite enjoyed seeing the sad rag faces in 2012 and the sad dipper faces in 2022.
Who's sad faces would be good to see next?
Maybe sad little Bayern Munich faces in a CL final as we do to them what the rags did.

There's reports in Spain claiming a transfer to us is close. I'm not sure, some City aggregator quoted it so I saw.
