It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

I remember in Ake's welcome interview him saying something along the lines of not drinking a sip of alchohol while he's still a player as he doesn't want any regrets. I'm sure it was killing him not playing as much as he'd ideally like this past season. I do fear Chelsea could turn his head as they've got opposite our current depth at CB currently.
He would be club trained for them. So if he does go they need to be absolutely rinsed on the fee

Ake is our 4th choice CB after Dias, Laporte & Stones

& our 3rd choice LB after Cancelo & Zinchenko

So getting the 40 Million we already paid back is not a bad thing to do

Rodri can be our 4th choice CB and Kalvin can fill the DM
Chelsea are desperate. When you have your boot on an enemy’s throat, no mercy. You squeeze harder

Eh??

If Chelsea want Ake then I want minimum like 50m, and really closer to like 60m.

No way should we accept what we paid when he looked completely settled in a title winning team, is homegrown for them, and only just entering his prime age.

And the fact they are a rival.

It would also likely force us into the market which I don't think we are ready for unless we try giving a youth or recall a loanee as options for 4th choice, which is very unlikely from Pep.

Newcastle were apparently quoted 50m, Chelsea need to quoted more for that!
Should be 60m at least with the numbers of years left plus a direct rival who are flushed with cash and with CB a position they are struggling with.

I hope we are looking at replacements. Jesus Sterling Ake all great squad players.

Ake 55M + sterling 60M. Chelsea are going to pay us around 100M for our substitutes. Either Chelsea has become a dumb club or It's horseshit info
Our substitutes are better than what they have now. So no, Chelsea isn't dumb, Chelsea will improve with Sterling and Ake.
Most of our substitutes, would walk into almost any team's starting 11 in the EPL, because we have class players as our subs, and they have been trained to be class by a great manager!
So let Chelsea fork out £120M for both Ake and Sterling, they help with their home grown quota too!

But this is too much of a squad refresh, our style of football takes a season to understand, so this could be a challenging season for us because of the new players coming in need to adapt to the Pep system.

It goes further than that. He was literally running away from the stuff when the players were spraying it around on the pitch and in the changing room.

Thought it was either an allergy or religious thing because he looked genuinely scared.

Yes he's still young but Taylor Hardwood-Bellis looked like a fish out of water when he played for us, didn't exactly set the world alight for Stoke and Anderlecht and is now being linked with the likes of Burnley and Celtic.

I don't really know why anyone thinks it's a good idea to have him fill Ake's spot.
