Unless of course Chelsea have identified someone just as good if not better than James on the market. I doubt it will happen either though for what it's worth.

In my mind there is only walker and Alexander Arnold in the mix with James at the moment. We have one of them and Arnold is not an option. I can’t think of any up and coming or regular player better than those three at right back/wing back.

Almost certainly a done deal with either Arsenal or Leeds.

The Chelsea situation looks to be somewhat drawn out with possibility that it appears to be dragging on and on and on.

The negotiations/talks with Brighton are progressing at a snails pace and our plans there are likely to be jettisoned.

I'd personally be surprised if he was openly hinting at a transfer given how much he works with the club and how much they frown at leaks. I know first hand on that sorta stuff! Ha. As others have suggested, maybe he'd do that for a contract extension?
