I could see pep wanting him, we seemingly did last year and he showed he can still do it in the prem even with a shower of shite around him.

Phillips adds legs Fernandinho no longer had
Cucurella adds left back attacking zinchenko can’t do (much as I like him)
Alvarez is an unknown bit replaces sterling who isn’t a staring 11 player
Ake leavimg is an issue - but only with numbers as he never really convinced as a starter

Signing on a free transfer is completely different ball game to signing and having to negotiate. I was all for it last year.
