It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

Asked someone I know about Sosa same guy I asked who gave me a report on Gvardiol. Since I watch bundesliga but don't know that much about Sosa in depth. So I'll put it here.

Basically said he's just decent not world class, not shit just decent incredible cross but just a decent/good player, can defend and attack. Mostly a 7/10 most games. Good player not exceptional can do a job. Just really consistent. Rarely has a shit performance. Just does his job to a good level. Rarely at fault for his team conceding
that is enough for us, pep can improve him. besides cucrella is not better than Sosa and not world class himself and hence why we do not value him at 50 mil

The reality of football.
No it is not. Just because it's worked one or two seasons doesn't mean it will again. Top clubs are pro active and sort out the situation at hand. There's still time, so I hope we get a left back, but to act like it's just fine is actually naive.

Chances are we will buy another full back for cover. My point wasn’t about that.

I responding to your point about cancelo, who has been and will be our first choice left back
No guarantees Cancelo will be first choice left back if we do sign one tho. Clearly Pep wants a left footer which will be a benefit to the whole team and Grealish when he plays on the left.

Nothing I can do about it so I'm not going to get worried/excited about it as some appear to be doing.

We've had Delph, Zinchenko and Cancelo filling in there for a few years now and been relatively successful.

I'd rather us not sign one than sign the wrong one. I do hope we sign a decent LB but I suspect we'll be fine if we don't.

I think so too. It feels like we want a left footed left back, to able to whip in crosses for Haaland? There is a clear possibility that Cancelo is moved to the right side of the defense this season.

You have to be in utter denial to make light of this situation. Would be a shocking window if we do not get a left back after all 3 other seniors we've lost.
Not a shocking window however I agree with the left back situation. However still time to get it sorted, just surpised we haven't maybe offered Brighton a player as part of the deal.

Fair enough mate. I think it's still an area of concern, and I feel an out and out left back could also help us offensively, in terms of helping Grealish for example.

Unpopular idea - very unpopular but how about Telles (Rags) for LB position? He was a good player prior to joining United.
