It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

There will always be someone willing to outbid us on fees, wages or both, Chelsea, Liverpool, Rags. Some have been beneficial but most haven't. We've had our system in place for some time and we've done pretty well. Trust in the process. It's not about shiny new toys in August, it's about shiny trophies at the end of the season.

People will complain about lack of depth but we will also be going into most games with Stones, Ake, Gundogan, Phillips, Alvarez, Grealish and Palmer on the bench.....then there potentially some opportunities for Delph, Wilson-Esbrand, Edozie (if he stays), Kayky, Mbete etc.

Delph?
I thought Samuel Edozie had gone - I will be delighted if that's not the case.

absolutely agree mate! something stinks to high heaven about all this and the amount of contractual breaches that could occur from barca over wages etc should be investigated when they happen. Selling off years of tv monies etc and not servicing their debt at all is sheer madness and its rumoured they owe messi 50m odd of unpaid money and pique is due a huge amount of money as well?
Nothing they have done is anything like as bad as throwing paper planes onto the pitch, or chanting You’re Not Incredible, we are a disgraceful club

Based on some of the exchanges of opinions on here with TS, half expected that to be a bit happy-clappy all is gold, don't need no depth etc. However didn't really disagree with anything. Fair and balanced take on it. Loading it with so many kids is one heck of a stretch, for a meaningful contribution at least, but in fairness that's his thing that he follows and probably knows better than most of us. A bit conservative with the income, but I guess reflects where our priorities are as a fanbase.

3 weeks left, stil time to strengthen the area that needs it.

Yes it would be mad to criticise City’s transfer policy overall for the past decade.

Equally mad to think Pep is happy with what he has in his squad right now.

With BM there is rarely room for a middle ground. Some posters criticise City with no grounds whatsoever (just look at any match day thread) others will reject any criticism saying because we have done well in the past we always will going forward.

I try to stay in the middle but then you can get mullered from both sides of BM! Just the way society is now..binary I think they call it.

I thought it was a good summary from Steven.

So his agent?! Come on of course the player would want to come to us, so all our leg work should of been with Brighton to get to a fee they wanted early as possible!? I don’t get what we were doing
CLEARLy we were never going near the £60m+ they wanted so what would have been the point?
