You said 'has rarely let us down'. Sorry but what I remember him best for are two glaring basic errors that cost us games, so I disagree.

We can get into the weeds on the semantics of what counts as a big game or "letting down" but the bottom line for me is that I'd have very little confidence in winning a game against a top side with him in goal, and judging by the FA Cup semi v Liverpool so do our defenders.

He hasn't played many times for us to be honest but in most games he has been fine for a goalkeeper is cover for the first choice Ederson. The rest of his teamates weren't any better in the two semi finals you have mentioned.
 
Barca piss me off. We seem to steer clear of their players so as not to upset them and they tap up ours in the press. Bernardo is clearly an £85m - £100m player. Genuinely don't see how they get him unless City swap for FDJ. Don't know what his value would be though.

It's bullshit - they can't register players at the moment, so they are pissing in the wind.

Other than Pedri and Gavi, not sure which of their players we'd want? FDJ is great but he'd have to take a pay cut. Dembele can be an awesome player when he's not on the treatment table, and seems to carry baggage. I think we definitely fleeced them with Torres and we get accused of fleecing them with Garcia - not sure they aren't upset with us!
