The new Fabian Delph would be great! The new Jack Rodwell, not so much.Sounds like he's the new Fabian Delph then

So he wouldn't be a strange one.Phillips would be a bit of a strange one.
But, he's young-ish, helps with the homegrown quota, and does fill a position of need.
Hope it's notHope this is true
Young and homegrown doesn't make him goodSo he wouldn't be a strange one.
Always thought Cancelo was better at LB when he had natural left footed CB next to himAgreed. Pep has said that Laporte's left footed passing angles are important, so Stones is unfortunately competing with Dias. I think Stones is better than Dias in many ways (speed, heading etc), but arguably Dias's organisation of the defence balances that out.
I may be projecting, but I've also noticed that Laporte has become more passionate about his defensive actions this season. Stones absolutely bought into the Dias "defend at all costs" attitude, but Laporte always looked a little awkward with it - perhaps those two playing together so much this season is making a difference to Laporte too.
Thought this about Gaz BarryI'm not sure about this.
I think he is an Arsenal/Spurs level player. He's good but not great.
He's 26 years old and going on 27 next year, He hasn't had a good season this year.
It feels like it would be a Delph/Ake type signing, If he is content with being rotated and having to fight his way into the XI for big games, and it only costs 30M, why not. But as the main midfielder I would not like it.
But that can't be the only midfielder we bring in this summer.
Like when people say, he's premier proven, when the majority of our best signings weren'tYoung and homegrown doesn't make him good
Not saying he's shit, personally I've never been impressed but happy to be proven wrong
