Nunes would be underwhelming IMO, but Gomez looks like a great prospect. 6G and 15A this season, former La Masia kid and a very good crosser from the left which we’ll need when Haaland comes in

Not many great LBs out there though. Theo just signed a new deal, Davies is unattainable, Gaya is too injury prone. Not too convinced on Lodi, my best shout would be Wijndal but it doesn’t seem like we’re interested
 
We are after a midfielder but the only one we have been linked to is Nunes really. Those links are not concrete either

Assuming you were referring to my post, Ederson is the best goalkeeper in the world at shot prevention and in build up. All I was saying is that if we get the opportunity to sign Maignan we should take it because he is a very complete goalkeeper. He is a very good shot stopper and good in build up.

I agree that Sergio Gomez probably doesn’t have the physicality to adapt to the Premier League and will most likely end up in La Liga. Personally, I think Zinchenko needs to be replaced with a natural left back. Maybe not in the Summer but potentially in 2023 when his contract only has one year left. I think Hickey is the best option for a backup left back.

Laporte comes back in and the defensive capitulations come back in. Losing Walker makes a difference of course. Fully fit and under pressure he has the ability to drive into space and get us up the other end of the pitch. But Laporte has been directly at fault for a number of goals we've conceded in our CL exits.

We should be looking to replace him with someone quick, even if they're not consistently amazing defensively. It would make so much difference dealing with the counter to have someone who can win a foot race.

I know we have been linked with Pau Torres. If Laporte leaves Torres could be a possible option.
 
I’d say minimum 3 signings needed (excluding any ‘shock’ outgoings and not counting Alvarez). Obviously a serious striker hopefully Haaland, a top quality and most of all dynamic 6/8, and lastly It’s either a right or left back. I’d go with left and have an actual specialist there, but wouldn’t mind a RB to cover Walker and move cancelo out to LB for good. We shouldn’t have to break the bank either for the full back, surely there’s lots of competent quick and technical full backs out there, I mean every half decent team does seem to have at least one.
On outgoings I could see us needing a winger and I’d go for an ‘electric’ one. Could be impact sub/ play in cup games first season but someone who even if frustrating makes things happen out of nowhere something I do think we need which is a bit of unpredictability.

Agree with that, it’s a simple replacement for those 3, though getting those replacements isn’t simple. Nothing else; we are an unbelievably good team and it looks like our team spirit is outstanding - am sure that harmony won’t want to be broken by buying duplicate players. (And hopefully Alvarez palmer Lavia mcatee get a good amount of time).

Ageuro replaced by Haaland hopefully

Mendy replaced by a younger right or left back - cancelo to the left if we get a RB - lamptey, Ait Nouri, cucurella?

Ferna replaced by a dynamic pacey player and I have no idea who that is.
 
Think last night showed we need a dynamic player to replace Fernandinh. Camavinga would have been ideal he was a big reason they brought things back. We also need some one like rodrigho someone who is clinical in front of goal that can come off bench.

We can never know that. But what we can all see is that we miss far too many very good chances, including at least four in the first leg against RM, which suggests if we did have a very good striker we could well have scored enough to still reach the final.

Hopefully Haaland is the piece of the jigsaw that completes this amazing team. Our players deserve someone who can put the finishing touch to their work rather than smash it into the side netting/scuff it to the keeper/take too long and have it blocked/be offside. All those happen too often.
