The Sterling of the last two seasons won’t be a major loss to us, the Sterling of the seasons before will be. I was hoping Haaland would be the catalyst for Raz returning to that form.

On top form he’s an extremely dangerous player and getting a player of his calibre for £50 million is an absolute bargain in this market.

He actually became friends with him after meeting him at a fan event in Turin many years ago. He is now a lifelong Italy/Juve fan due to Chiellinis affiliation with each. He turned his back on City many years ago when we refused to sign him for the 7th season running. He even wrote the club letters to request his signing and sent them a scouting report for 4 years running. He has a 2 hour video on Chiellinis career highlights which he watches once a month or so.

we left ourselves short at CF for 2 years, DM for 2 years, center back for a season and left back for 9 seasons.

We will sign a RW it just won’t be this summer they’ll wait.

It’s akin to driving a long journey and only putting enough fuel in to just about get you there and keeping the £60 in your wallet rather than filling up, even if you’ll just have to do it later on (next season) anyway.

Whats the point.

Because with patience and the knowledge that your £60 will get you more for your money at the next stop?
