It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

Being fast isnt everything in footy terms. Good athlete but average imho. I like the way City are progressively buying players who are great with their feet & quick thinkers. Rodri (lovely striker of the ball), Cancelo (2 great feet), Grealish (good close control). Before them Kdb, Gundogan and Bernardo.

Pretty much sums up TaylorWill and Chiellini.

He’s hoping to find his new address in America very soon and is flying out to the USA for his first game.

His plan is to follow his car after the game back to his house/apartment in order to ensure he knows where he is living so he can send fan mail and spy on him if he feels like he is missing him.

The Sterling of the last two seasons won’t be a major loss to us, the Sterling of the seasons before will be. I was hoping Haaland would be the catalyst for Raz returning to that form.

On top form he’s an extremely dangerous player and getting a player of his calibre for £50 million is an absolute bargain in this market.
Especially when he’s played on the ruddy right side.

Classic episode, listening to the partridge audiobook again, really is genius!
Don’t know if i’m missing something but maybe someone can help me, i have the I’m Alan Patridge audiobook that has the Knowing me, Knowing Yule Xmas special plus episode 1 and 2 of the first series of I’m Alan Partridge the series. Not sure why they only put 2 episodes on there but does anyone know how i can listen to the other 4 episodes of the first series and the second series in an audiobook or something similiar?

Accept that opinions are split but his numbers are fantastic. I remember when we couldn’t even dream about having a player of his quality. Add to that his attitude, nothing less than 100% and never any grief, he will be missed. If you were a defender you would hate playing against him. Strength, pace and tenacity with the ability to course havoc in the penalty area. Been brilliant for us and all carrying a continuous racist undertone from the press (ppl may disagree but I feel he has has unwarranted bad press and I can’t find any other excuse for it). I sincerely hope he stays (gladly accept his faults) because he has and does deliver. The word ‘legend’ is applied to many not fit to be in the same conversation. Sorry… something of a rant. Accept others may not agree. Just nailed my colours to the mast.
Agree with most of what you said but it does seem like he has caused a bit of grief regarding game time
