It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

Harwood-Bellis could be the 4th choice CB if Ake goes. He won’t be, but I see no reason why not.

Hes England u21 captain and now had 2 years of mans football at Anderlect, Stoke and Blackburn under his belt. Had couple years training under Pep already so knows the Pep style and what’s expected.

Wouldn’t be the worst option In my view.
far too slow

Chelsea gotta pay over the top for Ake and I’d guess City would just use that cash on Pau Torres clause and move on. Neither Bellis nor Mbete are ready for the responsibility Ake had last season when the cbs started dropping with injuries

For anything over 50m we should sell Ake. I like him but he's never going to be a starter here and while a good squad player, is a bit too injury prone for my liking. I also don't think we need 2 left footed centre backs, as Dias is better on the left, but we'd probably end up replacing him with another left footer anyway.

I hope it's not Pau Torres though. I really don't rate him that highly. There's a reason no top teams have touched him despite a relatively low release clause IMO. Bring me Kounde or Fofana.

Starting to feel more like revolution than evolution this window.

Im sure the quality will increase overall, but even though I have faith in Pep to get so many newbies working together quickly, I am starting to get a little concerned with the numbers if anyone else leaves after Jesus and Raz.

I don’t get Soriano saying we only have one more incoming that can’t be correct?

Letting everyone that wants to go leave for a good price is one thing but we have to get replacements at some point.

Im sure our squad will look fine come 1st September but, despite having got some early deals done, it’s looking like we still have as much work as ever to do.

Im sort of puzzled and excited in equal measure.

I've got a form of adult adhd which is different for everyone but one of the things I struggle with are things that aren't backed by facts or logic. I'll appear accusatory at times but it's a genuine confusion or curiosity to find the truth. When something doesn't add up (for me, which I'm aware doesn't mean it actually doesn't add up, I just might not of put it all together from the words put forward) I need to ask questions and piece things together. I can get slightly obsessive and see words like a web of information that I'm able to see all at once but if the bigger picture doesn't make sense I'll ask why.

The end result could be that I have anticipated a picture that isn't what it seemed. But I then welcome being told I am wrong. We all should. There's no way of learning if we don't.

But the answers need to be based on logic and facts and they need to be lacking in a fear of your questions. If I question something then don't shut me down without an answer as that shows fear of the question which makes you look false. Don't thread ban me. Answer me. Don't ban me from asking questions. Answer them, shut me down, tell me I am wrong and explain why. Educate me and anyone who's reading. Don't silence anyone who disagrees with you.
I wish you the set of luck with your condition, but if you suffer from posts on social media that don’t adhere to your specific logic rules, then I’d suggest you use it less.

Not because I don’t care about your condition, but more so because 95% on social media aren’t capable of putting together a coherent argument.

The transfer forum on here is always the same over the summer. This summer, in fact, has been easier because we’ve bought Haaland early.

let them sign him. still haven't seen anything from him worth breaking the bank
Personally (and respectfully to your opinion) I disagree.

I think this kid is class. Tenacity off the ball with primal determination to win it back. Quality on the ball with both the technical ability and desire to play forward. I think the only thing missing from his locker is the maturity that comes with some good old Pep Guardiola treatment.

He isn’t currently the best, but give him a year or two and he’ll be up there. He could be a truly priceless box to box midfielder and/or #8.

If Feral FC move for him, we should leverage the cash in the bank and beat them to the punch. IMO he’s worth it.

Don’t think he is quick enough mate

Its a risk if we had another season like last year (probably wont) but we have Walker/Rodri who could play there. With another full back hopefully coming in and Philips in midfield there are options if we got a bad run of injuries again.

It's not really a condition in that sense. It's not an issue for me. I just meant to explain what I mean by the way I can accidentally crave debate but may appear confrontational without meaning to be if I don't agree. When people on forums are met with disagreement they often get defensive and that sometimes is because of habit. We form habits on forums based on past interactions with all the knobheads and wind up merchants. So when met with the slightest of disagreement people often react based on these past experiences and a genuine question or disagreement is seen as an attack rather than a question.

I question things. But no one really tried to answer them. They just said we don't like what you might be suggesting so here's a thread ban for yourself.

Just seen that Inter haven't actually signed Dybala yet, rumours that they can't afford him and Lukaku.

Would anyone take him on a free? Another body up top, huge upside as he is world class on his day and not that old. Injury prone but on a free and not massive wages can you really go wrong?

I wouldn't be against bringing in Dybala just don't think we will bring in another attacking player even if Raz goes.
