He ain’t worth 50m he’s had one decent season in the PL but just cause we are city that adds more to the value anyway. It is funny to see this happen to Newcastle aswell now as their fans thought they would be getting all these players and the valuation goes up cause the clubs know they have money. Brighton would need to pay Cucu what he is worth. 50m player is bound to be on about £150k per week. Can’t see £30k and a walk on a pebbley beach will be enough now they value him so high.

If Brighton won’t budge - walk away - we need to think longer term - if we overpay here and let Brighton take the piss we will regret it. We overpaid in the early years after the takeover but we reeled that in by being resolute. We have circa £40 to £50m to buy a decent left back - let’s get one - Cucurella is a good fit but he’s not the only show in town and I’d sooner move on than have Brighton take the piss. Blackburn is talking about £20m over the odds that suggests maybe they are looking for £50m plus £10m - is that reasonable… shit Barca value Bernardo at less than that!

Agree. Negotiate hard and get the second option lined up in case we need to walk. The club is trying to stop the inflated prices we had to pay on our way up. Kavlin from Leeds is a perfect example of how we have grown. If Cucu is unobtainable we have no choice but to leave it. Bigger issue will arise in the future if we get fleeced now.

Agree. Negotiate hard and get the second option lined up in case we need to walk. The club is trying to stop the inflated prices we had to pay on our way up.
