Let Walker stones and Gomez go bring in branthwaite and Kimmich. That’s defense sorted and cover for midfield. Can see Nunez becoming the new Phillips but he’ll give us grief, he went on strike at his previous club. If KDB goes we have Phil so not the end of the world but I would say we should go for Musiala and use Walker, Stones and Cancelo as part of the deal. No idea on a replacement for Alverez
Gomez already has one foot out the door. He wants to leave.

Real Sociedad have shown interest recently.

Unfortunately the circus around Southgate and the England squad because of their performances means he probably wants to protect Wharton by keeping him away what could potentially come his way if he doesn't perform. It's fair enough to manage him that way, much better for younger players to come into a positive environment where people won't jump on every mistake. But Wharton has that rare skillset in terms of being able to thread the ball from defence to attack, which we've really lacked.

Bruno is the polished article, but comes at a cost obviously. Wharton would need some time to further develop, but who knows what he could become. His improvement from Blackburn to Palace has been staggering and I think he had a 100% pass completion rate when he made his debut for England - and he wasn't just passing backwards!

Do love me a line-breaking midfielder. It's one of the main reasons I enjoy watching Kovacic so much, not afraid to make those risky passes that take 2/3 players out in one go.

Wharton's potential is ridiculous as it is but under Pep, it would accelerate no end.

any idea why we dont fancy keeping Yan Couto at the club? We could do with competition for that right back slot. Seems odd to me the club dont seem willing to try him out
We can cash in for 40m, can’t send him back to Girona and Walker signed a new deal last season are 3 reasons.

Is he though? Or is it some exaggerated narrative being parroted without any consideration to actual data?
watching him, yes don't think he's good enough and not needed now we have a RW. being able to defend man on man is key.

Feels like we’ll be very reactive this window depending on who stays and leaves
Not adopting the Bayern approach

As long as we don’t end up with Nunez level buys
Nunes and KP are easily the worst signings of the Txiki era
Only slight concern is if we’re rushing in August to replace players
Bayerns approach though is easily as risky because they are buying players to show other players who are under contract that they are free to leave

That didn’t exactly go incredibly well last season? We can react to the likes of Ederson, Walker and a couple of others if need be but we should have smashed the 6/8 player already to be honest.
