He’s very open about this- says many at the club in important positions really don’t like him. He still gets good info though - one of the first to say about grealish RC when others were adamant there wasn’t one. More than one place to get info I guess

Tbf him leaving Goal to join the Athletic can’t have helped. He had better info before then. As tolm says the club use Gaughan more now which makes absolute sense; if the club want to leak tidbits why would they do it to a reporter who’s content is all behind a paywall.

Even though he's a rag, I didn't mind Sam Lee as he seemed pretty decent toward City. That changed when he joined the Atlantic & was tweeting worst case scenarios during the build up to CAS. He saw his arse on twitter & blocked a load of City fans on twitter
