It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Why does it matter what surprised him really, as others have said doubt he follows twitter or media gossip all summer.Maybe the players gave him a different impression before they left for the break, quite possible as they were all pissed.
On the plus side with all this happening at least any players not affected by those leaving are all sorted and signed already.

Cancelo - No future at the club, and the worse case scenario he will be loaned out. No chance he stays.

Laporte - Been unhappy for a long time with the lack of game time. He won’t be here come the end of the summer.

Marhez - Not surprised been told for weeks he was wanting out. And would be the next first team player to leave.

Walker - Aware he was unhappy but I got the impression the club still believed they could convince him to stay.

Bernardo - Nothings changed, wants to leave but the clubs stance remains the same. If a team pays the asking price he can leave.

My concern here is, none of them are a surprise. So with Tolmies latest information it makes me wonder is there more.
Only one I would truly shit the bed with is Rodri. His response to the Valverde post regarding answers to questions could suggestion whatever it is involves a midfielder. As you say, Bernardo isn't a surprise.

Cancelo taking
Re stand by your beds, need to keep an eye on flight out tomorrow.

Doesn't sound like Pep is too impressed.

Been hit be a deluge of agents today and could even see a couple left behind.

City ready to move on fast now.
If that is the case, then we need to show some balls, let them go, and then blow the fucking doors off by bringing in world class replacements. We're losing proven quality and we need to replace with proven quality. Anything less than a de Jong or a Kimmich to replace Bernie (because sadly it sounds like he's gone) will be disappointing. Just get the money paid and give Pep the best tools available for a rebuild.

Oh, and get the fucking centre back that he asked for two months ago signed, sealed and delivered instead of sitting at a negotiating table hoping in vain that the selling club will lower their asking price.

Well surely Pep would have known prior to today? Walker & Mahrez have deals lined up, Bernardo & Laporte have been wanting away and Cancelo exists. None of that should have been a surprise. Conversely, neither will have been him telling them they aren't guaranteed game time.

Bizarre that they have apparently left the conversations until the day before the preseason tour, when Pep will have countless press conferences. And with only securing Kovacic. He'll be fucking fuming.
