I thought the same, but just last season he played 36 times in La liga (not sure how many starts) and got 10 G/A- not a bad return at all or appearance count

It does look like he isn’t the player he was from the articles below so a loan with an option to buy at a fixed price would be great.

12 starts 11 g/a in la liga, but we have no space.
