Why wouldnt Wirtz happen

The more practical option doesnt sound like a great reason to buy a player.....think we are already seeing that with Nunes

I think the issue is that if he doesn't go to Bayern then they won't pick him for the German national team.

I'd be floored if he doesnt go to Bayern. Its all setup for him there.

Well Paqueta is a top player in his own right, actively wants to play for City and is already prem proven.

What about Nunes?
 
Xavi Simons rumours are consistent and various sources. Probably something in them.

Personally hope Paqueta’s investigation is done pre-Jan and we swoop mid-season for him. I reckon that’s just a formality.

Gonna be interesting to see what pep does with the midfield once KDB gets back.. Nunes, Foden, Silva, KDB, Alvarez, Kovacic, Rodri, Lewis all fighting for the three spots. (Expecting Phillips to go) and Stones to be one of the 'box' four from the CB role.

Kova/Nunes fighting out to get the #6 backup nod? Foden/Silva back out at RW etc?

Lots of flexibility but some juggling to find the right balance and combinations, even before a market dip.

Nunes - skillful no doubt but does he have the correct attitude/temprament? Im not so sure.
