It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Any reason he doesn’t sign another? He said he prefers short contracts and will leave when the club is not happy with him. You reckon the club is unhappy I presume?

Honestly, a window of Paqueta, Kimmich/Neves, Musiala/Wirtz and Frimpong would be ridiculous.

To the point of…I can’t see it being done.

Paqueta, yes.

Musiala? One of those where it’s just too big of a coup and Bayern would do anything to not sell to us. Depends on his willingness not to sign a contract. Then again, Bayern might be more comfortable him going if it means they have the funds for Wirtz.

Kimmich? As per above. Depends on contract too.

Neves, release clause so can see it being an option. Plus I assume good relations after the Dias/Otamendi deal being done so quickly.

Frimpong, yes. Homegrown, mint, knows how we play given academy background - can see us paying the premium for him.

Kimmich/Neves wouldn’t be a replacement for Rodri, they’d be an ‘8’ and I am assuming the club have seen enough of both to feel they can do it. Or they plan to push Rodri further up given how lethal his finishing can be.

I would say Paqueta yes, Frimpong possible, musiala and kimmich no chance.

The only thing that would worry me about frimpong is stifling Rico's development and progression, that kid is a star

I see the Football manager specialists are out in force, as in lunatics taking over the asylum which happens, you must learn to sit back and relax

But I do hope it’s better than last summer myself as well

Foden on the wing forever then? Musiala doesn’t make sense to me for that reason. They both want the same position. Makes more sense to buy for other positions and let Foden have the role, knowing that we still have KDB to play as and when his body allows him. Players like Paqueta and Neves make more sense. And wingers.
We need to manage KDB's game time. Several years of playing at the apex of world football, age & injuries are catching up with him.

We need to be bedding in his eventual successor from now, so they can learn from the King.

Happens months before every window. Lost count of the amount of players we MUST sign to stay at the top. E.g. João Felix, Bellingham, Frenkie De Jong, Rafael Leao, Declan Rice, Kounde, Caicedo.

Yet they never arrived and we keep winning...

In Pep and Txiki we trust.
