I guess we’d collect a bigger fee selling him this year which is the only positive. We’d have to put down serious money for a replacement of the likes people want - Musiala, Wirtz and Xavi Simons. We’d lose that experience too and I can’t see us signing any of those mentioned this window

I think Dani Olmo would most likely be our Kev replacement if he went this window, which is far from ideal

The club have a decision to make on Kev, and not an easy one.

If they get the sense that he won't be renewing again, they have to consider whether to cash in this summer.

If the MLS is his next destination then it doesn't matter - they won't pay a fee worth losing him early.

But if it's Saudi? That's probably not far off £100m you're saying no to.

I'd find that very difficult.

Yeah, they can't afford him. Also, Julian would have to ask to leave because we ain't letting him go otherwise. I doubt it all. The last thing we need is losing him right now.
