Sounds to me like they’ve dangled the money in front of him and his head has turned. It was reported last year he’d like to retire here, and those comments seems to suggest something has changed

Long term id assume the plan is to go after someone like Wirtz but if KDB and Bernado left we would try and supplement that loss with the likes of Olmo, Eze or Olise this summer.Completely - it would probably take a couple of windows to replace those players though
Replacing Alvarez would be difficult, I think he is very underrated by many and finding the same profile would be hard, I really like Dovbyk at Girona (nice coincidence) as a really honest, hard working forward, capable of scoring and creating and is at the right age where he could really kick on.

Think it would be entirely up to the player, we wouldn’t sell him if he said he wanted to see his contract outBe very surprised if City let that happen. Its either a new contract signed or he is gone by end of the window.

I'd expect City to snap their hands off if any of those offers were made.
Anyone who wants to leave City is welcome to go for half those amounts as far as I'm concerned. The three you've mentioned have done their bit for us and have been exceotionally well paid by the club.
