It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

No one else slightly concerned that some key players want out all of a sudden?
I'd be more worried if it was Foden, Haaland, Rodri. I imagine a lot of them who want out feel they've accomplished everything they set out to with us. They've firmly planted their names in the history books, they've got nothing left to prove, especially De Bruyne, stones, walker and ederson who have been here for 6+ yeRs

I am but at the same time I think just keeping the band together for one more season is tantamount to accepting that Pep is gone summer 2025

This group of players/manager have won it all together. It’s hard to keep going again and again. The players who might leave would probably just leave in summer 2025 when/if Pep goes. Too much transition in summer 2025 with the names that have been mentioned for me especially if Pep goes. A season before Pep leaves wouldn’t be so bad.

Fresh faces and new hungry players could give Pep the encouragement to extend whilst also motivating the current players. I wouldn’t want things to go stale.

Bruno Guimaraes would be an amazing start then we’ll see who goes.

Not in the slightest.

You're far too easily triggered by the media.

Not at all mate but can’t help thinking the legal stuff and Pep maybe leaving is playing a part? I’d say Alvarez left and we got Simons then happy days but it would be as draining for the players this legal stuff as much as the fans I reckon

Isak, perfect Alvarez replacement and could play across the front 3. Only 24 and with Newcastle not getting CL, probably attainable for the correct price.
Football Manager transfer. He is not joining us without a guaranteed starting 11 place. Why would he? He is good enough to join one of elite clubs and start for them. PSG, or whoever.

That's my problem with people wanting the likes of Alvarez out. It takes a certain personality type or circumstances for such a player to be content with limited playing time or being played out of position. Like with Julian, we made him big, hence he is happy with us. Established players, or world class-players, don't just join teams without 1st team guarantees. That's why Alvarez isn't joining Bayern with Harry Kane there. He might be tempted by the prospect of playing as a 9 for PSG, though.

In light of the clubs actions against the PL, I can't see Pep wanting to go anywhere.

Managers love to create the bunker mentality, this has created all out war.

This completely ^^^^^^^^

Keep Bernardo at the club and we know Pep will be happy too

True - but money talks. We could potentially look at the financial side of the Alvarez deal and it be too good to turn down.

We could use that money to go after a Kev replacement

We have no problem selling players who do not want to be here. However, we do have a problem with the lack of suitable replacements for KDB and Alvarez in this summer's transfer market.
