There is not much point in having wingers, if the ball takes a week to get past the halfway line, and your striker is under 6 CB`s, but i take your point, what happens if we buy 2 wing backs? Some people say we don’t need anymore wingers but for me 2-3 of them aren’t anywhere near good enough.
I’d have a player like Antony Gordon and get rid of one of the wide players that never score or assist.
Chelsea signed Lavia from a relegated team and he's been injured 99% of his career. With Palmer they have struck gold but nobody expected this level of output. It’s not worked out for any of them because we’ve been the best club side in existence bar Pep’s Barcelona. However our time is up.
United are just a shit show and they’ve had many a good player go there to be mis-managed so badly it’s destroyed their career.
Arsenal have in no doubt improved their team. Their star players are Saliba, Gabriel, Odegaard and Saka.. 3 from Europe, 1 home grown. They’re finding the same limitations that we are with players bought from mid table in this country (White, Rice and Trossard)
Chelsea’s recent improvement is almost entirely down to signing 2 players who have played for us - a champions league side (Palmer and Lavia) and to be honest, without Palmer, they’d be back in mid table. but Chelsea reinforce my point, they’ve spent a fortune on the likes of Caicedo, Neto, Cucurella, Fofana and Sanchez from this league and none of them have been a success.
As if we'd let our most creative player leave during this crisis.

The days of sane and sterling on top form tearing teams apart. Those were the daysI remember when we had wingers that could score and assist
