I have just watched ESpN podcast.
Some journalistic expert called Ogden.
No chance of any signings for City. None of the intended signings would be interested now we are not at the top table.
Also selling our academy products ( for £ 400 +million) is terrible. As an example Man utd would never do that.
Basically we are doomed.

Just checked Varela. He's 45! Assume you meant Barella. Suspect it will be difficult to lure an Italian away from the club ranked no 1 in the world currently.So no Ricci, Bruno G, Zubimendi. So who does that leave. Ederson, Varela , Pepelu.
Ederson has had more links with United than us but anyway with Atalanta challenging in Italy, this move seems unlikely.
