It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Interesting. Though he strikes me as a guy who’d rather stay but could be wrong. He’s said recently he’d prefer to finish his career in England/with us.

Still surprises me that Alvarez will end the season as the second-highest scorer for City. Guardiola played Haaland and Alvarez together several times, and, with Foden available on the right, Mahrez is becoming more and more the odd man out.

Mahrez still looks as smooth as ever, but until the end of his contract there are just two more seasons of fighting for minutes against competitions, whom Guardiola seems to prefer.

I was surprised when I saw his goals output this season, personally thought he’d done OK. I just feel he’s dangerous when he’s on the ball, lethal delivery and eye for a pass. And of course the unbelievable ability to trap any pass that comes his way.

Not that many that would improve our team tbh. Gvardiol and Bernie / Gundogan contract extension and we still have one hell of a team that can challenge for the treble (like we are doing now).

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I think it's always a good idea to renew the squad after an extremely successful season, especially with players of certain age/or players that will not renew. We should sell Mahrez if there is a good offer. He is important, but he is not a starter, and due to his age, it's unlikely he will be a starter again. 40m for him, we would be crazy not to take him.

And then, Gundogan or Bernado. Here age is irrelevant, because Bernardo WILL leave in 2 years for certain (he wants to play for Benfica while he is close to his prime). So right now, it's a choice of whether we want Gundogan for 2 years and get 60-70m for Bernardo, or we want Bernardo for 2 years and Gundogan leaves for free. The 3rd option is having both, but that would still mean to replace both in 2 years (and maybe even KDB), which I don't think is wise. For me, I have zero doubts is time to take money for Bernardo, and slowly rebuild our midfield.
