I think seeing Jack trying to persuade him and Bernie shaking his head says he’s gone unfortunately. Bernie staying would be a bigger deal than Gundo for me as although a HUGE legend now at the club with his goals over the last few seasons at important times, Gundo is also 33 and the worry of a sudden drop in fitness would be an issue in this squad whereas Bernie is hitting his prime?

I’d like Bern stay but I think he’ll go.

City want him to stay and that contract extension has been on table since at least last summer. He could still sign yet but as it’s now PSG who are interested, a club who can actually pay a sizeable fee.

I mean nothing against it but moving to psg to play with Asensio and Lee now that Messi Neymar and probably Mbappe is gone can mean he changed his mind… Barca can’t afford him either

Genuinely torn about Mahrez. A beautiful footballer to watch, really effective and pops up at big moments. But on the flip side I think it could be time for a change.

Probably ever since he signed his other extension, yeah. He just won’t sign another.

If he doesn’t get his move this Summer then I reckon he’ll end up back at Benfica when his deal expires in 2025. Which could mean another 2 years of the genius.

I don't know why he wouldn't just wait two years and do that, then. He has suggested that it is very taxing to play for pep, though, and I guess that's a reason. Only two more years, though.........I think he's got it in him.
