Well, let's not forget that Gundogan wasn't always at this level with us, it's pointless to deny that. It was only after David Silva left that Gundogan stepped up and became this good. Before that, he was more of a secondary figure.I think Kovacic is, he isn't at the level Gundogan is but I'd put him at 80% of Gundogans level now and with a few months with Pep he'd be approaching Gundogan's levels.

I find it very hard to believe that Barcelona are going to pay him 60 grand a week more than we offered.Inbetween us having a verbal agreement and Ilkay actually signing, Barca came in with €3m more per season and an additional year on the deal to what we were offering. He can be substitute for stones and rodri both. That means lot of games.I’d love Rice at City but just don’t see in the current squad where he gets in. Obv that can change on outgoings.
