It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Amazing news mate and i think what you are doing is truly special. My daughter has down syndrome and a serious heart condition etc but goes into main stream primary school with a one to one support carer and we would be lost without him seriously! she currently has gone to nearly dying when born to little miss sassy like this:

She looks like a lovely happy little girl .... what more can you ask for xx

Feels a bit counterintuitive. No doubt worth £50/60m when Leicester sell him in a year or two. As we’ve seen with Lavia, having a buyback is futile if a competitor makes a move before we’re ready.

If he goes for 50m then thats what our sell on clause will kick in for.

We look like we are about to spend 100m on Gvardiol who is two years older. I dont think Doyle is getting into our squad anytime soon. He unfortunately is stuck in an awkward position alongside Mbete and Harwood-Bellis. They arent anywhere near the first team but have had the taste of playing every week now at a high level and we can't keep loaning them.

Low fee will mean a low buyback, wouldn't be shocked ifs it around 20m for that fee for at least 3 years. A settled couple of years instead of moving loans every season. Could work out nicely.
First buyback are bullshit and I don't like them, There is no point to sell him right now he has contract until 2027,he is bigger talent than Harwood-Bellis, he is left footed there is not many top talents out there who are left footed. For 10m or 15m even 20m doesn't make sense to sell him.

I would cash in now. We need to keep churning money in from the academy. The players mentioned are not good enough for city unfortunately but not many are tbf. City is at the cut throat end of the league trying to stay top. The player that’s comes through to the first team squad needs something special.

Some of the players will go on to have very good careers and prove the club wrong to sell but some won’t. The club needs to be offsetting the big fee we have to pay for players in the current market.

I'm an atheist, but worked for years in an area with lots of evangelical Christians. You've got to remember that if they've been brought up in that culture, then many of the significant adults in their lives, starting with their parents, will have been preaching this as totally normal since birth.

I worked with plenty of very, very intelligent people who would argue about things like evolution, and despite having grown up a Catholic, I was surprised about just how much it's all intertwined with day to day life, and how important spreading the word is (I suppose the clue is in the title). At one point, I think I had at least a dozen people praying for my soul :)

It's such a huge part of life, and I'd argue a little bit cultish, so I'd be wary of judging anyone that is relatively young for still being in the thrall of that brand of religion.

There's so much I want to say in response but people will already be sick to the back teeth of it and, as Dax said, I don't want to derail the thread further.

All I'll say is that I'm not an atheist and a lot of what you've said is true. I understand the roots are deep.

He's not getting in the side anytime soon, and needs to play. a move to a settled team (or a 2 year loan (dont see them often though) could suit us and the lad, rather than bouncing him around.

I like him alot but i see the appeal in letting him develop sooner rather than later by moving him around, just make sure you lock up the options to grab him if he makes a leap in development.
