Bollocks.If we throw in the EDS now we could easily kill off their City career in one go. Rico Lewis is struggling and he is the most advanced out of our youth team. We have to gradually start to introduce them (assuming they are good enough to work with Pep)
People understand that some have to be sold, and I've never seen anyone saying we shouldn't have sold most of them like Sancho or Maffeo. But the idea that we can't play any youngsters other than Lewis in the current season because we are playing at such a high level isn't true. Even if we were doing ok this season, the idea that McAtee for example couldn't be given more minutes against Bratislava, Ipswich, Prague or Forest doesn't seem true to me. We could have kept THB and Doyle and had 8 defenders which is more inline with everyone else and used them as subs and against easier teams in the cups.Some people will never shut up about it. They are so thick that they do not realise that players need first team football to progress. First team football we cannot give them because of the standard we are at at that time. Brahim Diaz, Jadon Sancho, Aleix Garcia, Cole Palmer, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Felix and Lukas Nmecha, Jack Harrison, Romeo Lavia, Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Pablo Maffeo, Pedro Porro, ............the list goes on. Some have to be sold, they the generate income required to finance the Haaland's, De Bruyne's, Bernardo's etc and the next generation of academy products.
