Anyone else in the pipeline?
No idea mate! Excited for these two though.
Anyone else in the pipeline?
Angelino's done, Rodri not far behind. Tomorrow at latest I think. Could change of course, but lovely stuff.
Anyone else in the pipeline?
Yeah two quality additions, cheers for the infoNo idea mate! Excited for these two though.
I think you`re getting confused. So much for "just taking the pinch this time". Surely we'd challenge any of this in court.
We can challenge the ban but (or at best the length of the ban) but in the end we'll accept what is handed down to us. Real Madrid, Barcelona and Athletico Madrid have all taken one on the chin.So much for "just taking the pinch this time". Surely we'd challenge any of this in court.
Again, this is from Fifa, not UEFA. It's to do with signing foreign underage youth players and is what got Chelsea banned and fined and even the FA fined. I'm guessing it's to do with interpretation of the rules, Chelsea were found guilty for 29 cases out of 92 investigated, we're being investigated for 9(?) although there's also possibly an investigation into the Right To Dream Academy (I think) and whether we had 'undue influence' which edges towards 3rd party ownership. So much for "just taking the pinch this time". Surely we'd challenge any of this in court.
I feel like this is something we should be talking about more. We don't seem to be doing much in the way of contingency planning and in the worst case scenario we will lose David Silva and Ilkay Gundogan, Fernandinho will be 35, Aguero will have one year left on his deal, and we could potentially have to sell Sane or else risk losing him for free the summer after. We have a very strong squad obviously, but things can change quickly. And if we don't sign a centerback this summer thats one more thing to worry about.
If that's the standard you're looking for just shut the whole forum down. It's obviously speculation and was stated as such. What you mean to say is the club haven't told you what they are doing, so you have assumed the worst
I think a ban will happen not sure when, but with this in mind and Otamendi's best years behind him I think we need to buy a top class cb. I like Maguire and he would do well at City, but certainly not at £80 to £90m
Just to clarify, he is not worth £80m and I don't think we will be prepared to pay that fee. Is that better for you?Would he do better if he were £40m?
Im obviously missing something as I cannot fathom this reasoning at all
If Leicester wanted 200 million for him you’d still be happy to pay it just because he’s a good player? What about 400 million?500 million, at what point does it become a stupid deal for city?Would he do better if he were £40m?

Of course there is a limit, the limit however shouldn't concern any of us. The clubs finances are in good hands and they will set their own limits. The limits will be the whole package though fee plus wages.I said something similar last week, we have to have a limit and you have to look at the realism of this transfer. Two years ago TWO he was bought for £17m and while he may be an established international now his stock has not risen by that much in just two years regardless of what Leicester think. He might be worth £90m to Leicester because they don't want to lose him and they don't need to sell but he isn't worth £90m to us. Kompany was a legend no doubt but don't forget he missed a lot of games last season and we still did OK with the other defensive options we had. Maguire is seen as the "replacement" for Kompany. The price is being ramped up because he is homegrown and Leicester don't want to sell the best thing we can do is move on and go for someone else because the price tag is a joke. He is worth no more than £50m and that is not a reflection on his ability that is just being realistic.
If Tkiki writes a cheque for £90m I'll eat my own arse with a spoon.
Its only stupid when people say he would only be good for us if he cost x. He doesn't up his game according to price is my pointIf Leicester wanted 200 million for him you’d still be happy to pay it just because he’s a good player?
