It's Quiet 32 - enter at own risk

Maguire is holding out for City. Trying to force his price down.

Would likely forsake a substantial pay-off from Leicester to make it happen, too.

City are clear, no more than £70m with some add-ons or a player thrown in.

United offering silly money.
Confirmation of the complete reversal of the clubs fortunes.

Don't think they have any FFP issues. They even hit the jackpot with this CL campaign.

It is prolly more along the lines of value in the market. They made an huge leap from Karius to Allison Becker. Well worth the investment. They made an huge leap with VVD too. Well worth the investment. Now, they have to find targets that can justify to spend big in order to make the similar leap forward.

Also, they improved their players contracts after the last two seasons. Their budget must have taken a toll.

If you hear the deluded fuckwits out and about over here, they are of the Spurs mentality a few years back, they don't think they can improve. You have to remember these are a people who believe absolutely everything they tell themselves. Every player in every position is the best and they have Gomes & The Ox to come back.

I'm a bit out of touch with these things, what difference does it make?
Because for the champions league, assuming we have maxed out our 17 non-homegrown player quota (which we always will), we can only register a maximum of 4 association-trained homegrown players, that is players on another club’s books (within our association) for 3 years between the ages of 15 and 21. Our 4 are Delph, Sterling, Stones and Walker. We can then name another 4 homegrown players to take us to the maximum squad size of 25, but they would have to be club-trained, ie at City for 3 years between those ages. So Foden and Angelino. Signing Angelino basically lets us name a bigger squad.

So City are offering silly money as well at 70m.

I like Maguire but surely we could get someone similar from the continent for 40m or so.

His biggest selling point is homegrown

He’s not that bad a CB just that we prefer better options as fans

If Pep wants him and he is holding out for us then fair play and give him a chance

What does Pep have a hardon over Bravo?

He's absolutely woeful. Get him out of the door ASAP.
Seriously?

One of the most decorated keepers of all time, played at the highest level for the past decade.

Had a bad run when he was playing for us, you could hardly say the defence wasn't too blame all of the time either, kept us in the league cup for Pep's first trophy a couple seasons ago.
