No chance we'll loan him out though, as much as the Turkish clubs try it on. I'd imagine it will be an absolute last resort if he has no takers for a permanent move away, which would surprise me, even if he does represent a risk, given we won't be expecting a big transfer fee.

As I quoted earlier, Palace offered £27m for him 18 months ago which we accepted, but Mangler turned the move down.

If he has a decent season on loan somewhere, he'll have takers between £15-£20m as long as his wages are decent.

A few sponsor freebies outside of work but nothing like it used to be.

Only thing heard over the weekend is City are relaxed about letting Gundo leave on a free next summer if it comes to it.

Has been decent value.

Sounds like we won't be held to ransom if just about higher wages.
