It's Quiet 32 - enter at own risk

Remember how quickly zabba's fitness and performances dropped, at this level of intensity. or yaya's. he's 36 ffs. i very much doubt he's got another couple years in him, despite how well he played in copa america. plus, his age and wage expectations are totally against what the club is trying to do.

Nobody credible has linked him with us, so i dont believe there is any interest.

Alves is a master of the dark arts, also like Ramos very hot headed. So on that basis it's a no from me. And he's 36 ffs!

"The dark arts" is an English expression that never fails to make me laugh, always imagining players as warlocks casting black magic. Such an evocative term for some of the most low commonplace actions.

It makes sense in light of Walkers new contract. Hes probably one of, if not the highest paid fullback in the world. It never really made sense to bring Cancelo in along side him. Alves would likely be happy getting only 20-25 games at his age.

I could see him being very useful against teams that park the bus, and as a more offensive minded sub when we're chasing games.

It's outdated on most levels these days.

Probably should be called arts of colour in this day and age.

Claudio Gentile was the Professor Snape of his day.

He made strikers learn the hard way, but they learned.
And he only ever got a red (and not a straight red) in his whole career! :)

if he thinks he is as good as he claims and others on here think, and if he is still in his so called prime for a few more seasons, why on earth would he accept being back-up or playing 20 odd games a season.

Not that there is any real interest in him anyway.

He hasnt played more than 25 league games in any of the last 3 seasons. He is 36. I think the issue would be whether he thinks he'll play in the big games.
