Mancini grew up in Marche, which is apparently a very short railway journey from Bologna.

124 miles from Bologna to Marche.

50 miles from Bologna to Florence- Cerci

Mind telling me what the closest airport to Marche is?

Bologna play Roma on Sunday funnily enough

If true hes out there then who at Bologna is he after?Got to be an Italian based player......

Hope its DDR-Odd hes not yet signed his contract,5 days to go and hes a free man!

Gaston Ramirez at Bologna is a very good player on the radar of lots of big clubs but I think he signed a new contract this month and occupies a position (attacking midfielder) that we are well covered in. I think he can play on the wing but it's not his natural place.

As for Fiorentina, Jovetic would be a great signing as he is so versatile and could play on the wing or behind the striker. Cerci would be a cheap signing from Florence who is a good player although I'm not sure if he could settle into English football right away, but at this stage I'd take anyone over Johnson.

Everyone who has seen De Rossi knows just how he could improve our club. Those that haven't should know he is almost a perfect midfielder, he can excel at every aspect of football and can even slot in at the back or on the wing if needed. He can defend like Nigel and attack like Yaya and in a situation like yesterday's where we seemed to have no effective link between defence and attack, he would have been highly useful. Because he's so good, not getting him now, which seems likely, will be a huge disappointment for me... we will not get a chance to buy a ready-made midfielder that good for under £30million any time soon.

Just read this on Twitter:

"@Minarzouki: According to Sky, De Rossi's will soon sign a contract extension. Roma have offered €6m a year for five years"

Also Fiorentina are called the viola, which could explain the "musical" reference from Tolmie.
