Also got told that Arsenal have a really annoying case of FFP this summer. They have to sell someone or something (apparently up to 7 are considered sellable - Sanchez isn't one, they're being defiant on that) to actually spend the money they have.

Yeah, Ornstein said before the season ended that they have serious wage bill issues and need to let people go before they can afford new signings.

Makes sense. They've got money, but obviously that wage bill is sumat else. Makes you wonder re Sanchez and Ozil demanding an arm and a leg doesn't it? How can they possibly justify holding onto them/matching their demands with such big wage problems.

I guess they must be working on the assumption Özil and Sanchez will both extend at £275k/week or whatever it is, and they haven't worked their way into a situation where they need to sell to afford their new deals.
